What changed from v1
v1, the Halloween wall from October 24, is untouched at /partywall, so you can compare them side by side.
- Accounts and money. Hosts sign up with an email and get a personal sign-in link. Emailed links are ready to switch on. The wallet takes $1–$100 top-ups through Stripe Checkout, each restyle costs AI cost plus 150% (10¢), and there are refunds on failure, per-party spend caps, low-balance warnings and a ledger. v1 had a host code per event and ran on your fal key for free.
- Themes. Haunted mode is now one of 11 presets: Halloween, Día de los Muertos, Diwali, Christmas, New Year's Eve, Birthday, Easter, Lunar New Year, Mardi Gras, Time Machine and Wedding. Each has its own fonts, colours, reveal and looks. There is also a write-your-own prompt mode and a free no-AI wall.
- Halloween keeps all of v1's curses as an opt-in full gore (18+) setting on the same filter-off model. The default is now spooky (PG-13 looks, safety filter on), since strangers' parties will use it.
- The wall. v1's lightning reveal now comes in theme versions (snowfall, marigold petals, confetti, fireworks, sparkle), the original still flickers back mid-slide, and there is a new side-by-side before/after option. The draggable, scalable QR is unchanged.
- Dropped: the AI doorman (the headless Claude moderator on your Mac). It doesn't scale to strangers' parties. Moderation is now the model's safety filter plus one-tap hide in the host console.
- Storage. Records moved to a D1 database (strongly consistent, which money needs). Images live in the same KV namespace under a
v2img:prefix, so v1's data is untouched. - New pages: plan, financial model, research, IP note, and an admin dashboard for you.
